Hiya Peeps,
This week’s beauty haul was prompted by some desperately needed retail therapy asI try deperately to combat the holiday blues. Yes folks it’s true I have all the usual symptoms of this SERIOUS illness. My tan is fading, work is kicking my butt, and finally I have a horrible cold due to the change in climate. I decided to pay a visit to a lovely department store, and hit the make-up counter as I really wanted to cheer myself up and of course bring you guys a mixture of high end make-up and some products that are cheap but chic. As we enter the party season I know y'all are in the mood to step up the glam factor.
Illamasqua women’s fragrances will have the boys swooning at your feet. They smell like sophisticated sex appeal in a bottle. I digress; this particular visit I was there for a lipstick and I scooped one from the Throb collection called ‘Sangers’. O.M.G this lipstick is full fledged Hollyhood glamour. I haven’t worn it outside yet as it is a serious statement lip, but every time I try it I on I am forced to put on super duper sky scraper heels and strut around.

Mac Mineralize SPF foundation in NC50 is a product that I first picked up during the summer months this item has become a staple in my make-up bag I luv it. As my skin looks very natural when using this product and it tends to just enhance rather than change your skins appearance. The truth is I don’t really wear a base during the day. I prefer bronzers or 'bare face chic' unless I’m going out and want to take it up a notch. I think this would probably work best with a primer for those who have a shiny T-zone. Ladies that prefer more coverage may not like this one.

I'm all about the eyes, yes ladies they're one of our best assests, and I luv a good mascara and have tried many over the years. This time I decided to pick up Benefit ‘They're Real’ mascara I like the product although I must admit I am not crazy about waterproof products as they can have a drying effect on my lashes. This one wasn't too bad in terms of dryness and the overall effect of the product was very good. Unfortunately I’m not crazy about it. Why? It did what it said on the packaging without offering any thing extra. Peeps, when I'm spending this kind of cheddar I want to be amazed.

I have been banging on to any-one that will listen about the Maybelline 'gel eye liner in the blackest black'. Ladies form an orderly cue behind me and cop this. Honestly, If you do not buy any-thing else in today's review this little beauty wonder is a must! It comes with it's own little applicator brush which does the job just fine. The gel is very black and allows you to achieve really good depth and definition. You do need to rinse your brush after every application or it will harden.
At last but by no means least Superdrug are stocking a budget make-up range called MUA Academy that begin at just £1 per item. Now I recently purchased one of the lipsticks. I found the pigment good but it did have the tendency to go on the lip with a less than smooth finish. to combat this I exfoliated my lips, then moisturised, I used a brown/pinkish lip liner and applied using a brush. I sealed with Plain o'le Vaseline and the effect was good.
