Haapy Father's Day

Hiya Peeps,

I just wanted to take a moment to publicly shout out my dad. Who has inspired so many of my life choices both positive and negative. The bond between a girl and father is special as it is the first time we experience male love. This relationship can be the bench mark for all others.

Men do not love like women and the healing, protection, power in male love is sometimes over looked because it does not come in the form that Hollywood tells us it should. I defy any-one to say they don't feel some thing way down deep when that special paternal figure in their lives passes their fingers pads across your eye brows or hugs you close and you can smell that person special smell. Awwwwwwwwww man I love when my dad does that to me. Why?  Cause I'm a daddies girl and I love my dad's attention even now I'm an adult. My dad occupies a special place in my life and even when I  throw tantrums, ask for help (Yes I still do this) the love is real!

My Brothers Karl and Sean With my Dad
 The Absentee Father
If you are living in any inner city, unfortunately this phenomena is is all to common, especially in our community.  Unlike others I love this father. WHY? Because he is certain that he has no intention on standing by this family. Rather than waste time, hurting this family by entering and leaving and returning again, he understands that he has absolutely nothing to offer therefore every-one actually has the opportunity to heal and move forward once rather than multiple times. Ladies, behind every absentee father is the woman that chose him. There are many women who hardly know the brother before becoming pregnant. Or are clear that the relationship is NOT a stable platform for the introduction of children but proceed any-ways.  Finally there is the duped one who had no idea that their husband/partner was weakness personified. We have a responsibility to ourselves and our young ones to choose more carefully especially as we become more mature. I'm sure that all single mothers can testify raising our children is definitely two person job.  Doing it alone ain't no joke!

Sean is not only great brother but a Great Dad. Kisses to you bruv

The Ride or Die Father
This is the man that regardless of the circumstances he will not let go. Ever! From the moment he becomes a father his life changes forever. He no longer buys Armani jeans and drives an Audi TT.  He rocks Top Man Jeans and drives a Ford Focus or rides a bike. So that he can afford to buy Pampers, milk and ballet shoes. This dad often tries to be the same after becoming father, but now he has a child he looks at the world as a different place. He may struggle through the rigours of fatherhood as he is overwhelmed by the responsibility. He wants to run away. He may even try to for a short time especially when his wife, girlfriend, child's mother turns into a hormonal nightmare. Or when his baby girl brings home some wanna be rapper aka  jobless fool saying she is in love. But just like Usain Bolt this dad 'must win the race'. He will see his children often, love them, care for them, provide for them, sacrifice for them, till the end, this love is unwavering. This dad may have many faults but he is always there.

My brother Karl Recently became a daddy again, To Miss Olivia Nicole

I would like to send a special shout out to my brothers pictured above who are great dads and my Cousin's Fiance Allen who is celebrating Fathers day for the first time with baby Xavier.
