Out and About in the City

For the past two weekends in a row I have ended up on London Southbank. Those of you that are familiar with this particular area in London will know that it is a little nook which hosts the London eye, the National theatre and is located on the waterfront with lots of trendy little bars, eateries and shops. Usually on a Saturday skateboarders, book sellers and performance artists can be found which creates a nice busy, creative, vibe. Check out the view from the bank it was an overcast and rainy day, what a surprise.

The bikers doing tricks

As it is summer they have set up an outdoor performance space
(called watch this space)see below

Last week they had a Tango dancing, flame throwing couple as the main feature which was a sight to behold at eleven o’ clock at night. Yesterday they had a Band that played a rather eclectic style of music that is rather difficult to explain. But think marching band but stationary. The area was absolutely heaving with people and interesting attractions such as little beach huts with art inside.

Check out this sculpture. best of all it was all free, I love living in the city!
