Pedestrian in the City

Hiya
I am used to driving my car in the heavy London traffic; I commute to and from work in my vehicle and usually pick up and drop off friends when it comes to attending social events. Just so you are clear 'I Lurve It'.

I love listening to my choice of tracks (you cannot beat Pac first thing in the morning) That is before my car radio got stolen. I didn’t know people were still stealing radios??? Can my friendly neighbourhood criminal please raise the bar! I know there is a recession BUT COME ON! I digress;I love cranking up the heat as I’m one of those people that is always cold. But mostly, I just enjoy not having to put up with members of the general public and their various smells, screaming children and musical choices. Not to mention the convenience of grocery shopping, and crawling in late at night.

This week I had to say good bye to my trusty Fiat Punto. I will be the first to admit he was not handsome or fast but from the inside he felt like a Mercedes. Alas after three years of faithful service the car was on it’s last tire and it did not make economic sense to continue to run this vehicle. As a student it did not make economic sense to buy a new car either. Therefore my Reeboks are my new transport okay not quite Reeboks but foxy cowboy boots that look fly with skinny jeans but you know what I mean. So it has been two days and I have to big up the transport service in the city although I am still smarting over the extortionate price of a monthly ticket. I am pleased to say that partly due to where I live (close to several train links) that it has been a pretty painless transition thus far. Although I will be the first to admit I will have to be layering up as it may be August but it is cold as Canada in December in the city at the moment, so a slight exaggeration, but only slight. Also I will be grocery shopping via the internet, not that I really buy food. finally I have purchased a sturdy mini umbrella that fits in my Handbag, as I know where I live.
Me on the train yesterday.

Sexy cowboy boot mentioned. Trust me this picture does them no justice.
