Sunny In The City???

I can hardly believe it, after what has been a long cold spring like summer finally, we get some sun.  The only problem is with it being lovely outside instead of looking sun kissed and radiant I feel hot and bothered.  Firstly  I'm now more body conscious than ever.  I  am really wishing I skipped that last pastry or three with the yummy vanilla creme in the centre for an apple and exchanged those lazy nights in indoors for a few more nights in the gym.  Still I have not been deterred from wearing clothes that are completely inappropriate for my age and size. the smaller the better if you ask me. Only joking. if only I had enough balls to carry off that last sentence.  Although have been spurred on by the Yardie women  in Brixton and Peckham. to opt for shorter shorts than usual. watch out boys!

The other thing about sunny weather is that I've noticed my body clock is completely off I feel more tired than usual.   I lazily thought in bed this morning that I had been sleeping for ages and felt especially refreshed I was horrified to discover that I had left my moby in the car with my alarm on it and had overslept by 45 minutes.  Yes, I did get to work late.  Yes, I was cursing and using profanity that any sailor would be proud of and yes I did go to work wearing my hair in two little plaits as I did not have time to brush the fro into a sophisticated work do.

But the absolute worst thing about the sun is I don't wanna do any work for uni.  I am am in fully fledged summer break mode; I should be doing my summer reading.  As well as writing the outline for my dissertation. But lounging around in some trendy bar drinking girly cocktails seems to appeal so much more  even though  I know I'ill cry later I can't seem to get my head down when its nice out. Especially as I'm still having cold sweats about the last essay I handed in. I know I will work hard  when it gets down to the wire but for right now as Jamie Fox would say....blame it on the al ah ow ah alcohol!

Did some-one say mature student.
