Mini Hair Update & O.P.I Nail Polish Review

Hiya Peeps,

This week has been crazy, as up until a few days ago London has been experiencing the most lovely weather.  As every coily head knows as soon as the sun comes out so does the temptation to ‘free the fro’.
I really wanted to break my healthy hair vow to protective styling. But I was able to hold steady and continue the journey.  Although I must admit that I purposefully made this healthy hair declaration knowing that we were entering the Autumn months which makes it much easier to hold my reserve.  Who knew?  That the first few weeks of October would be nicer than most of August.  That's crazy British weather for ya.

The beginning of last week I rocked my variation of the Jonelle Monae inspired do (please check out pictures from earlier entries) Then I rocked a bun for the later part of the week; yes folks a simple but nice ole bun with a little hair out in the front for glam factor.

The wind was blowing like crazy, hence the weird face

I know my ends are not tucked away in thr front but, hey it was only one day

Yesterday was really cold in the city and my hair was dirty so I wore one of my li'l hats with my Baby Phat fur vest.

This week, I am absolutely in love with OPI nail polishes. A mate of mine who is currently residing in Madrid gifted me a set of four mini bottles; it has to be said that this polish might be one of my fave beauty gifts ever! I am currently wearing 'A-taupe the space needle'.  The colour is okay ( very on trend right now) but it is the quality of the product that has blown me away. When I get my monthly manicures done the wonderful beauty therapist Ashley always uses this brand. (she is amazing, based in Bromley I can hook you guys up if you would like to try her services)

It was only when I used it myself at home that realised how good it actually is. As I am  really rubbish at  putting on nail polish and my application usually looks questionable at best, especially on my right hand. I was amazed that this polish looked shiny and pretty damn good on both hands, it has not chipped in the day and a half I’ve been wearing it, which is a miracle for me as I love to wash dishes without gloves. LOL

I know OPI at £10 is a lot more money than my beloved Barry M which is only £3.99 but I do think the extra financial investment is worth it. I plan to mix and match buying less polish overall and spending the savings on quality of brands such as OPI.

I found this fab blog for my fellow fashionista's  http://www.wheredidugetthat.com/2011/05/boyish.html

Peeps, if you know of any other brand that top OPI please leave a comment.
