Hiya Peeps,
This week, I thought I'd bring you somthing a little different as the city hosted one of Hip-Hops finest. 'Snoop Dogg'.

Unfortunately due to school/work commitments I was unable to attend this event but the reviews so far have been really good.  Any-one, who has ever seen Snoop perform knows that this veteran performer always throws down on stage and gives the people what they want.  Do you guys remember when snoop first came out?  He was just a l’il puppy back then 'rolling down the street smoking endo wid Dre, Warren G an em brothers lol.

You guys know my one was not as sexy as this retro beauty

Back in the day, I would have the Da Dogg Pound on heavy rotation on my little JVC Midi system, with the twin cassette deck in the front, that I got for Christmas. ahhhhhhhh man, that little thing really couldn’t handle the base of those serious beats.  I can still picture myself sitting in my bedroom singing those songs word for word (I rhymed those tracks from the heart) with my mum screaming for me to turn it down.  I am only grateful that to this day mum does not understand the words and prefers roots Reggae.  Can you imagine if she knew what that l'il homie Daz was saying?

O.MG who can forget the Tupac years? Cadillac’s, Bloods, Crips and 40oz bottles of beer.  Since then a whole heap has changed.  Snoop got acquitted from that murder charge, Death Row Records collapsed, we lost Pac and this year the Hip-Hop community mourned the premature death of Nate Dogg whew!

So, Snoop is an 'OL G' now with a marriage that spans the length of his career.  To this day nothing sounds quite as fresh as Snoop on a Dr Dre beat. When I think of Snoop Dogg this dude really captures the essence of what the music is all about; he is most definately one of the many reasons I lurvvvvvvvvvvve Hip-Hop. Fo’ shizzle.

For career longevity I salute you
