Hiya Peeps
So managed to keep my mini braids in till Friday and my hair was nice and stretched so I wore it out in an curly Afro. It looked really nice as the weather was dry and after a week of being tucked away it was super soft and shiny. Result!
Unfortunately since I always have to do things the hard way I decided to give myself another protein treatment even though I just did one two weeks ago. O.M.G my hair came out like straw despite the fact that I rinsed with Tressemme Naturals afterwards which is a moisturising conditioner. As I started to panic, I attempted to combat the dryness by going through my hair with my oil mix I even tried my Cantu Shea Butter leave in conditioner but my hair felt more straw like as it began to dry and it was really shedding, which my hair would never usually rebel like this. So In desperation put some Aussie moist on my head for around 30 minutes but avoided the treatments and reconstructers. My hair liked this so I then put some organic vegetable glycerin on my wet hair.

I sat with a towel on my head to allow the excess water to be soaked up without rubbing. While damp I used my shea butter and coconut oil mix to twist my hair as I was Applying the product to my hair I could actually feel the hair coming back to life. So catastrophe averted, the next morning in order to get of the house I took out my twists, mosturised my hair which still felt very dry then put my hair in two jumbo cornrows to protect it from the elements when hitting the streets as I did not have any time to spend on hair after being up half the night trying to implement some serious damage control to my strands. I left the cornrows in overnight but when I took them out my hair still felt dry I would say that this silly experiment cost me quite a lot of hair so of course I will not be doing two protein treatments in one month again. This week I picked up the Creme of Nature Argan oil hair moisturizer; it has a creamy consistency and felt quite oily the and heavy however if you struggle to retain moisture or want something to put on your ends I think this product does the job . I used it to moisturise my hair when it was in the small braids so not sure how my hair would respond to it as a daily moisturiser if it were loose.

My number one product for this week has to be West Indian Castor Oil. Used alone makes my scalp itch like crazy but in any oil mix it seem to give it an extra boost. Resulting in soft shiny hair. This product get two thumbs up.

I also picked up some goodies from The Body Shop. This baby is an essential in my grooming kit it is a face brush that I use daily when washing my face I usually use it with just plain ole water but i'm sure it would be even better with a facial wash if you prefer.
